Learning / System-specific learning

Give people operating direction for the AI system in front of them.

A general course explains principles. A system briefing tells a named operator or overseer how those principles apply to the system they are expected to use, monitor or challenge.

AI literacy and training assurance

Explore role-based pathways, assessed courses, system briefings, learner evidence, renewals and management reporting using hypothetical data. All organisations, people and systems shown were created for demonstration, and no client data appears.

AI literacy is not a single course everyone completes once. People need knowledge and practical capability reflecting their role, experience, technical understanding and the systems they use. EU AI Fit turns that principle into a managed programme with visible coverage, current evidence and outstanding work.

Role context shapes an explainable pathway. Campaigns assign controlled courses, while completion records retain curriculum version, baseline and final assessment, learning gain, acknowledgement and renewal date. Outstanding requirements remain visible rather than being concealed by an overall percentage.

General literacy is only part of competence. Approved system briefings explain permitted purpose, prohibited uses, limitations, checks, override authority and escalation. My Learning gives each learner one queue; management receives a frozen assurance report with an evidence index and visible gaps.

Why this matters

People cannot exercise meaningful oversight from generic awareness material alone.

Operators need the approved purpose, prohibited or out-of-scope uses, limitations, expected checks, intervention authority and escalation route for the actual system.

EU AI Fit drafts the briefing from current inventory, classification and risk facts, but requires a responsible person to correct and approve it before assignment.

Who it is for

The people operating or overseeing a named system need approved direction for that system.

  • People using AI outputs in operational work
  • Human overseers authorised to intervene
  • System owners approving operating boundaries
  • Learning and governance teams retaining acknowledgements

How the work moves

Turn controlled system facts into direction people can acknowledge and use.

  1. 01

    Assemble controlled facts

Use the current purpose, users, affected people, supplier, risk, oversight and incident information.

  2. 02

    Draft and challenge

Convert those facts into plain operating direction, mark missing information and require human review.

  3. 03

    Approve and assign

Freeze a version, assign it to named people and require acknowledgement after they read it.

  4. 04

    Reissue on change

Use material changes to purpose, model, limits, risk or controls to trigger review and a new version.

In this scenario

A support team receives an AI response assistant

The general AI course is complete, but staff still need to know when they may use the suggested response and when they must escalate.

The approved briefing states the permitted use, categories requiring human verification, data-handling boundaries, known limitations and the named escalation route.

A supplier model change triggers owner review; the previous acknowledgement remains in history and the amended briefing is reassigned.

The organisation can show what direction each operator received for the system version they used.

What is retained

A versioned operating briefing tied to the live system record.

The briefing workflow connects purpose, limits, checks and escalation to named learners and material-change review.

  • Approved system purpose and use boundary
  • Known limitations and required checks
  • Human-oversight and escalation direction
  • Assigned people and acknowledgement dates
  • Version history and change-triggered renewals
